questioned P. Narayana, chairman of Narayana Group of Educational
Institutions on a case registered against them under provisions of
Copyright Act, following a complaint by the A.P. Telugu Academy. Telugu
Academy officials alleged that the content of 4 books - Physics,
Chemistry, Maths-1 (a) and 1 (b) published by the Academy was
plagiarized by the publishing house violating the Copyrights Act. The
A.P. Telugu Academy had filed a complaint against Mr. Narayana, his
family on July 14 alleging that its four Intermediate textbooks were
being reprinted by Nishita Multimedia Publications.
Mr. Narayana defending his acts and say to media-" Algebra and Newton laws same in any book". But Inter syllabus books Rs. 450/- in Telugu Academy Narayana colleges charging more then Rs.2000/- for copied books.
