to show a valid proof of identity to access internet. The new software ‘clinck'
that is going to be installed by police in all internet centers, every
person's details along with photo will be registered. ‘Clinck Cyber
Cafe Manager', a free software released by Mumbai-based Ideacts Innovations, which was being already used in all major cities, including Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, will now be used in Vijayawada.
All internet centers must install the free software, and it will be used along with conventional registers to record particulars of the users. Every visitor to an internet center will have to enter details like name, parents' names and residential address by producing a mandatory proof of identity. The details will have to be entered both in the software and in a register. Visitors below the age of 17 years will have to produce proof of identity of parents. The photo of the user will be taken by a webcam and uploaded in the proforma. Similarly, the user's identity card will also be scanned and added to the proforma.
This software will provide the required information when the police want it. The details entered in the computer can be instantly sent to the police online.
