e-pass, Supreme Court order on fee reimbursement, Stayed AP High Court directions

Good news and big relief to poor students...
Supreme Court stayed the recent directions of the AP High Court allowing college managements to collect money from fee reimbursement beneficiaries if the State government failed to pay the amount at the time of admissions. Thousands of poor students allotted seats in MBA and MCA colleges in the ICET counselling had not taken admissions so far because of the earlier orders of the HC. With the latest Supreme Court orders, they can take admissions for free and the managements cannot insist on payment of fee.
Supreme Court directed A.P government to pay 25%t of the total fee within 4 weeks of admission and another 25% in the next 4 weeks, remaining 50% of the fee should be paid by the government within 4 months after the completion of admission process and verification of certificates, said the apex court. Supreme Court orders came as a relief to the students and the college managements, the government is worried about paying the entire fee amount within 4 months.
